SPORT TO-MORROW

CRICKET AND TENNIS OPEN ATHLETICS MEETING A fresh series of matches in the Auckland Cricket Association's championship competition will be commenced to-morrow. At Eden Park, Middlemore will meet Grafton, the leading eleven, while Eden and Parnell will also play at headquarters. North Shore, which is in second place, two points behind Grafton, will plav Ponsonbv at the Shore. University will meet Y.M.C.A. at the Auckland Grammar School. City and Suburban matches will be continued at the Domain. The following alterations have been made in the draw for games under the control of the Auckland Cricket Association to-morrow: —Second grade: Tamaki v. University. St. Heliers No. 1. Third grade: Aotea v. Orakei, Walker Park. Intermediate: Suburbs v. Marist, North Shore No. 3. Further rounds in the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's inter-club competitions will be played to-morrow, the main contest being at Stanley Street between Eden-Epsom and Campbell Park. John Barry, the New Zealand junior champion," will play Dan Smith, the Auckland B grade champion, while Ron Lewis, runner-up to Barry last Easter, will meet Graham Kerr-Taylor, who will be remembered for his doubles successes with Bryce Baxter, now overseas. Miss Jean Hansen and Mrs. Pam Smith, the Auckland doubles champions, will also appear. Hardcourt competition matches will be continued at Windmill Road courts. The Mount Albert Amateur Athletic Club is holding an open meeting at the Olympic Stadium, when Atickland's outstanding athletes, including Ron Agate. New Zealand 100 yds t.itleholder, and Charlie Masters, N.Z.E.F. sprint champion, will appear. Trial four rowing will be continued by the Waitemata. Auckland and North Shore Clubs to-morrow afternoon. Waitemat.x will row for Mr. E. H. Bishop's trophies and Auckland for the Pewter Mug, postponed from last week.
