FIRE AT DAM SITE
COMPRESSOR DAMAGED An electrical compressor was damaged by fire at the site of the City Council dam at Parau about nine o'clock last night. The cause of the fire is unknown. The compressor, which was housed in a large corrugated iron shed, was sufficiently damaged to put it out of commission for a time, but it is not anticipated that work on the dam will be held up. as portable compressors will be used.
