MUNICIPAL OFFICERS

TOWN HALL GATHERING

The first social and dance to be held by the Auckland Municipal Officers' Club since the outbreak of war took place in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last night. The hall looked festive with festoons of greenery and gold lights, and an enjoyable programme was given prior to the dancing. Those present included the Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, and Mrs. Allum, the Town Clerk, Mr. T. W. M. Ashby, who is also president of the club, and Mrs. Ashby, members of the City Council and the staff of the Town Hall and their wives.
