FIRE IN FACTORY

Damage to the roof and one wall of the factory of Smith and Brown, Limited, in Porter's Avenue, Eden Terrace, was caused by a fire which broke out shortly before 12 o'clock last night. Two machines from headquarters and one from Mount Eden station answered the call and the fire was soon brought under control.
