"JAPANESE ARMY NOT YET CURED OF WAR"
12.30 SINGAPORE, Sept. 10. "The Japanese grasped the atomic bomb as an opportunity to get out of the war, but they are not yet cured of war," said a spokesman at Admiral Mountbatten's Southeast Asia headquarters at a Press conference. "Japanese Army men, particularly in this theatre, consider themselves undefeated. They are totally unconvinced that they did not deserve to win."
The spokesman added that Japan at present is back where she was in 1866, and the possibility of her again rising in military power depends on what foreign support she receives.
