JUNIOR REPS. TO TRAIN

The following players are requested to attend at the Grafton Gymnasium at ft p.m. on Wednesday, August 29. for training:—L. Sullivan. J. Sullivan. Connelly. Read, Linnell, Sopor. Urltch, Rush, Lynam, Cochrane. Priestley. Andrews. Luxford. Ventry-Smith. Clement. Penman Porter. Any players unable to train are asked to notiiy the secretary of the Auckland Rugby Union. The Manukau team has won the A section of the Junior competition, whilst Ponsonby, with one game to play against Eden, who have only won one game during the season,' shoud be the leaders of the B section. As these two teams will be enps.ged in the finals, their players were not available for the above selection.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS' TOURNEY

The Auckland provincial primary schools' Rugby tournament for the Roller Mills Shield was continued at Eden Pars yesterday. Results were:—

A Section. —Second round: Thames Valley, 6 (try by Torres and penalty goal by Staples). Waipa. 0; Whangarcl, 9 (try by Ramaka and penalty goals by Taylor and Tola), City Central, 0,

B Section.—City East, 23 (tries by Hill, 2, Maconaghie Chellew, Graydon and Spencer, one converted by Chellew, who also kicked a penalty goal). South Auckland, 0: City North, 27 (tries by Brown, 2, Wickenden, Mazzolenl, Austin, three converted by Sllva and two penalty goals by Fnrrlngton), Waikato, 3 (penalty goal by Carrlngton).
