WITNESS MEANT WELL
APPEAL HEARING INTERLUDE
Some surprise' was caused during the hearing of an appeal at a sitting of the .Auckland Industrial Manpower Committee this morning when a witness ' suddenly mounted the table at which the members of the committee were seated, and disconnected a lead from an electrical fixture suspended from the ceiling. The spluttering of an electric radiator, to the accompaniment of a shower of sparks, provided an explanation of the man's action. The fact that the lead did not connect with the radiator did not lessen the committee's appreciation of the man's actioni and the chairmanT'Mr. H. Campbell, thanked him for his quick thinking in seeking to avert possible danger.
