WIN FOR SOUTH
UNIVERSITIES' RUGBY P-A.' DUNEDIN, Wednesday. South Island universities defeated North Island universities by 19 points to 12 in the annual Rugby match played at Carisbrook before an attendance numbering about 5000. Tries for the South were scored by G. Drummond (Canterbury), three, J. Kelly (Canterbury), and R. R. Elvidge (Otago). Kelly converted one- try and J. Veale (Canterbury) another. For the North, J. Murphy (Wellington) scored a try and N. Laurence (Auckland) kicked three penalty goals. The game was played at a fast pace and was well up to university standard.
