AUSTRALIAN INVITATION Rec. 10 a.m. SYDNEY, this day. The Australian Soccer 'Association has invited England and Russia to send teams to Australia. i The chairman of the association, Mr. Storey, in announcing this, said it was considered almost certs in that a strong English side, including several internationals, would visit Australia before the end of the Pacific war.
Mr. Storey added that "he did not think Russia would take advantage of the Australian offer until after the war against Japan ended. There was a possibility that Test matches between England, -Scotland, Australia and Russia would be played in the post-war period.
