TOURIST TRAFFIC
DOMINION'S ATTRACTIONS
THE NEED FOR ADVERTISING
O.C. WANGA-NUI, this day. "The present is the psychological time for New Zealand and Australia •to build for the future," said Mr H C. Armstrong, chairman of directors of Armstrong and Springhalt, Ltd., in an interview. He added that the 'Dominion and Commonwealth were in the same position as America was in the 'fifties of last century, just before wide expansion began. ! Mr. Armstrong, who has business interests all over the world and has travelled widely, said New Zealand was one. of the most delightful countries he knew, and it had great national wealth capable of development. "Your tourist propaganda should be one of the main exports," he" added. "Americans have plenty of money to spend and they like to go places. Of course, with the tourist traffic there must be the type of accommodation that business demands." Mr. Armstrong advocated a link between New Zealand, Tasmania and Australia for the development of tourist traffic. Tasmania Was a little gem. He suggested that each country should help to pass on visitors to the other.
