MAN KILLED INSTANTLY

CAR CRASHES INTO POLE

P.A. NAPIER, this day. Mr. Michael Joseph McGinnis, licensee of the Railway Hotel, was killed instantly in Bay View Road at 11 o'clock last evening when his car left the road and struck a power pole. Mr. McGinnis fractured his skull and a leg. A passenger, Mr. J. H. Scott, licensee of the Tarawera Hotel, suffered minor cuts and abrasions.
