CUSTOMS PROMOTIONS
The former Sub-Collector of Customs at Auckland, Mr. G. Mcßeath, has been appointed Collector. He joined the Department at Auckland in 1908, and was transferred to Wellington in 1919. He returned to Auckland as Sub-Collector in 1938 The new Sub-Collector at Auckland, Mr. W. H. S. Lewis, was previously Sub-Collector at Dunedin. Mr. T. M. Courtney, formerly examining officer at Auckland, has been promoted to the position of assistant Sub-Collector.
