SPORT FOR TROOPS
; FOX HUXTS AXD KACIXG British Official Wireless Rec. noon. RUGBY, July 1. The food shortage in Germany has been a restraining factor on outdoor sport that it was hoped to organise for the British occupation forces in Berlin, states a correspondent at Brunswick. Plans for racing and regular fox hunts which had reached the enthusiastic stage have had to be dropped. However, as soon as • the food situation rights itself arrangements for horse racing and fox hunts may be on again. Hounds are already available and a number of fine horses from .Himm'er's stud near Hinden have been earmarked for the British racecourse in Berlin.
Lieutenant- Colonel • Hancock, 'of .Warwickshire/' who •' is head of the Army welfare section, is determined that' the British ' troops in Berlin shall have no cause to grumble at the entertainment provided for them.
