GISBORNE GAS ACCOUNTS
Net profit of the Gisborne Gas Co., Ltd., for the year ended March 31 was £1162, compared with £1103 last year and £1200 In 1943. The dividend recommended was unchanged at 4d a share Revenue amounted to £40.051 compared with £38,671 in 1944. The report says sales increased and there were now a record numoer of consumers. Four of the eight new retorts were in operation and great relief was apparent. Further extensions were planned and new plant had been ordered. Providing coal was supplied the company had the means to meet all demands made.
