University Women. —Miss Lillian Jeffreys, librarian at the Training College, spoke at the last general meeting of the Federation of University Women on "Books, Libraries and Life." There were about 50 members present. In the course of her address, Miss Jeffreys traced the history of books and printing from early days and also explained the different systems of cataloguing and indexing in libraries.
