FUTURE OFJET-PROPULSION Rec 1 p.m. LONDON, June 22. Travelling bv air at. 500 miles per hour will become so commonplace i that it will not seem unusual to reach New York from Britain in five or six hours, said Dr. Roxbee Cox chairman of the Government-owned Power Jets Company in a broadcast. He added that the gas turbine engine would make a tremendous difference to. air 'travel because the cabins would be very silent and free from vibration. The gas turbine has also a great future in ships. Dr. Cox said he was confident Britain would maintain her lead in jet-pro-pulsion. -
