(2) refuse REMOVAL: A .uniform annual fee of Twelve shillings and sixpence. (12/6 d) upon all properties situate within the Borough as has. a building ereeted thereon Ixom. which the Council is prepared to remove Refuse and in cases where buildings are let in apartment* of flats, such uniform annual fee shall be payable in respect of each separately occupied portion of the building. (N B • This fee provides for the emptying of one regulation refuse receptacle per building, separately occupied apartment or flat each week), payable in one instalment on the Ist day of AUGUST, 1945. (3) WATER SUPPLY: In respect of water supplied by meter a minimum charge of Two pounds (£2) covering the period Ist April, 1948, and ending on the 31st March, 1946, such rate or charge being due and payable In two equal instalments on the Ist April, 1945, and on the Ist October. 1945. For all water In excess of Eight thousand (3000) gallons consumed during each of the two half-yearly periods a rate or charge of Two shillings and six pence (J/6) per thousand (1000) gallons, the charges for excess being due and payable on the let October, 1<45, and on the Ist April, 1946. The above rates and water supply rate* or charges to be payable at the Office of the Council, Lake Road, Takapuna, to E. J. Price. Borough Treasurer, or to such person as may from time to time be appointed by the local authority to collect rates and water charges. ESTIMATES upon which the above Rates, Pees and Charges are beinjr struck have been approved by the Council and are open for inspection, together with the Rate Book and Valuation Roll. at the Council Office during Office hours. REBATE ON RATES: Pursuant to Section 84 of The Rating Act 1925. public notice is given that the Takapuna Borough Council has resojved to allow every ratepayer a rebate of Two and one half per centum on so much of the rates payable by him as is paid before the expiration of Thirty days from the Ist day of August, 1945.
