SUBSIDY INCREASED
PAYMENTS TO BUTCHERS
P.A. WELLINGTON, Friday. The acting-Prime Minister, Mr. Nash, announced to-night that it had been decided, after consideration of additional evidence, to increase the subsidy payable to retail butchers as compensation for the recent increase in export meat schedules. The increase will be from the rate of 15d to 19d per 20/ worth of meat ration coupons.
