MEAT RATIONING
People in New Zealand have b<3en led to believe, through the radi9 appeals of the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, that their acceptance in good palrt, and without grumbling of the ndw cut in the rations will be of great benefit to the people in England. Each year in New Zealand millions of lambs are killed for export, aJid we believe that these find their wtey into the home markets. It is very hard for any common-sense person to see how people on a meat ration of 1/2 can buy lamb, as I am sure we here on our 1/6 ration will no longei be able to do so. To any clear thinking person, the reason for tne new cut appears to come under tne heading of the Government slogan of "Increase exports no matter to whom and decrease imports to tne very lowest, possible margin. THE FAMILY BUTCHER.
