GRAMMAR OLD GIRLS
At the annual meeting of the Auckland Grammar School Old Girls' Association, held at the school recently, the following committee was elected:—Patron, Miss R. Gardner; president, Mrs. M. C. Alexander; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. O. Gardner, A. Wallace, J. Pool, A. Nicholson, K. Aimer, T. H. King, Misses F. Powell and M. Burns; secretary, Miss S. Lund; assistant secretary, Miss M. Blott; treasurer, Miss J. Gordon; assistant treasurer, Miss L. Sloune; committee, Mesdames J. Crawford, N. Skyrme, J. Connery, Misses H. Marshdale, E. Scott, D. Whitlaw, S. Rowe, M. Gardner and L. Anderson. \ The four past headmistresses of the school, Miss A. Whitelaw. Mrs. A. W. Gordon, so well known as Miss Blanche Butler, Miss W. Pickin and Miss E. M. Johnston, were elected honorary life members of the association in recognition of their services to the school and their interest in the association.
Mrs. R. O. Gardner, Mrs. A. Nicholson, Mrs. J. Pool, Mrs. W. Tank and Miss S. Lund, who, over a period of many years have given willing and untiring service to the association in various capacities, were also unanimously elected honorary life members of the association.
A presentation of association teaspoons was made to Miss H. Marshdale, the retiring treasurer, as a mark of appreciation of her work during the last three years.
