LARGER FAMILIES AND COSTS

The world is crying out for more children and a friend of mine has just told me that she was travelling 1 on a Great North Road tram with her young baby and a child of three years of age, and the conductor demanded that a half fare be paid for this child. The father is a working man and is endeavouring to bring up a family, but if he is forced to pay for his children when only three years of age while travelling then he is going to say, finish, as with many other expenses that he has to meet it is hard enough without having to pay for his children until they are of some help to their parents. Let those in charge realise that this world and her ways have got to change, otherwise we will find ourselves in a position that we do not, want. OLD MAN RIVER.
