DOCTORS AND CHAIRMAN

NO CONFIDENCE MOTION

A motion of no confidence in the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr. A. J. Moody, passed last December, was unanimously reaffirmed at the monthly meeting of the combined medical staffs of the Auckland and Green Lane Hospitals. There were 51 members present. The resolution was as follows: — "That this staff meeting reaffirms its vote of no confidence in the chairman of the Hospital Board, because he has failed either to explain or to apologise for his recent misleading statements to which attention was drawn in a protest from combined medical staffs at the last Hospital Board meeting, and reiterates that such statements are pre judical to the working of the hospital and are calculated to undermine the confidence of. the public."
