YEAR'S ACCOUNTS PRESENTED The accounts of New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd., for the year ended March 31, show a net profit of £43,220, compared with £41,168 last year and £40,762 in 1943. After payment of the final dividend in 1944. the balance brought forward was £46,569. The interim dividend of 8d a share paid in October required £19,916, leaving £69,873 available. The directors propose a final dividend of 8d a share, making 1/4 a share for the year, unchanged. leaving £49,956 to be carried forward. The profit and loss account shows gross profit at £165,658, against £149,611 last year, while expenses, including directors fees and taxation, totalled £131,515, compared with £118,042 last year. .
