"UNJUSTIFIABLE SLURS"

DOCTORS' REPJOY TO CHAIRMAN The expression of dissatisfaction with- the casualty department at the Auckland, hospital made by the chairman of the board. Mr. Allan J. Moody, at Monday's meeting of the board had a sequel last evening when the executive of the medical staffs of the Auckland hospital issued the following statement:

"Unjustifiable slurs were cast upon the resident doctors, particularly in the casualty department. The executive directs the attention of the public to this now habitual offence on the part of the chairman and emphasises that it can only continue to prejudice the work of the hospital. • The executive takes grave exception to the mis-state-ments and innuendoes persistently macle over a long period by the chairman, and is writing to the board asking that it publicly affirm its confidence in these medical officers."
