CANTERBURY CLUB
Following an address on the late President Roosevelt by Mr. J. \V. Shaw, at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Club last night, Mr. J. E. Green suggested that the people of New Zealand should subscribe to a memorial to the President, to be erected in Washington or other suitable locality in the United States. The following officers were elected:—Patron. Archbishop Averill; president, .Mr. H. Frost: vicepresidents, Canon Coats. Messrs. W. E. Burley, T. Clarkson. W. R. Fee. J. E. Green; hon. secretary, Mr. D. E. Parton; hon. treasurer. Mr. P. M. Curnow; auditor, Mr. -H. Lawry; musical diroctor, Mr. L. Elliott: committee. Messrs. C. V. Jones, J. D. Twentyman, C. E. Wrigglesworth. J. A. Steele, N. Knight, J. L. Conlan, C. Hawkes, L. D. E. M&ffcy and J. H. Blackwell; Christchurch representative. Mr. D. Reese.
