N.Z. DELEGATIONS
BIG CONFERENCES LONDON AND SAN FRANCISCO P.A. WELLINGTON, this day. The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, announced that he would represent the New Zealand Government at the forthcoming British Commonwealth conference in London, and that other members of tne New Zealand delegation would be the High Commissioner in London, Mr. Jordan, and Mr. C. A. Berendsen, C.M.G., New Zealand Minister at Washington. "It is, I know," said Mr. Fraser, "generally realised that the decisions which will be taken with regard to world organisation both in London and San Francisco are of paramount importance to New Zealand. Preliminary talks in London have been called by the United Kingdom Government for the purpose of enabling Dominion representatives, and particularly the Dominion Ministers of External Affairs, to have preliminary discussions on the proposals which all the United Nations are to consider in San Francisco on April 25. In the London talks the Union of South Africa will be represented by General Smuts, Australia by Mr. Forde and Dr. Evatt, and delegations are also proceeding from Canada and India." The New Zealand delegation for San Francisco was still under consideration, added Mr. Fraser, but he himself would lead it, and Mr. Berendsen would also be a New Zealand delegate. Mr. Fraser, who will be leaving New Zealand very shortly, will be accompanied by Mr. A. D. Mcintosh and Mr. J. V. Wilson, of the External Affairs Department, and Miss K. G. Jordan, private secretary;
