HEAVIER TOMATO SUPPLIES Still fair supplies of peaches are coming forward to the city markets, and many lines are showing deterioration. There are increased supplies of tomatoes, quantities coming forward from the Wellington province. Very large supplies of outdoor grapes were offering to-day. nnd prices eased considerably. Green peas, 6/ to 23/ bag. Kumaras. No. 1, 26/3 cwt.; No. 2, 2/ to 4/ bag. Leeks. 1/ to 1/6 bundle. Lettuce. 4/ to 15/ case. Marrows, 2/ to 3/ sack. Melons, water, 6d to 1/6 cach. The prices paid remain unchanged. Selling rates were as follow:—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 7/ to 9/ each; not prime, 3/ to 5/ each; light breeds, prime, 4/ to 6/ each; not prime, 2/6 to 3/ each.
