CLEVEDON (at Edendale).—The Edendale Bowling Club met four teams from Clevedon In the annual inter-club game for the Patron Shield, held by the latter club. The results were as follow (Edendale names first): Hamilton, Syers, Edmonds, Ritcjbie 23, v. Hepworth, Anderson, Munro, Bell 18; Mcßrlne, Bagnail, Bradshaw, Hill 21, v. E. Dawe. G. Dow, Duder, Tylden 14; Shirley, Oates, Naylor, Hayes 15, v. R. Waters, Hawthorn, Wells, Dawe 18; J. H. Jones, Gladding, Salt, Addison 32, v. Hirst, Luke, Rybum, Hyde 17. The aggregate score was: Edendale 91. Clevedon 67. The shield was presented to the acting-president of the Edendale Club by the patron of the Clevedon Club, Mr. Hyde wlro congratulated the club on the condition of the green. During the afternoon tea adjournment players assembled on the green and actingpresident Mr. G. Salt presented a life member's badge and patron's badge to Mr. J. Butler, the club patron, who is one of the foundation, numbers of the Edendale Club of 25 years ago, and has during that'period, been a tower of strength to the club, in spite of the fact that falling health has prevented his active participation in the play. Mr Butler suitably responded after a rousing chorus of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."
