Private Tommy Teriaki (24), reported killed in action, was the foster-son of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Farrer-Reid, of Marua Road, Ellerslie. After enlisting he was transferred to the Royal New Zealand Air Force construction unit. He spent over a year in Fiji. He then returned to the Army, but was attached to the Works Department for essential work. He transferred to the Army again last year and then went to Italy.
