RUSSIA'S CHURCHES

It is encouraging to know that the Russians have set up a State committee for religious purposes at which the Greek Orthodox, Jewish, Moslem, Baptist, Lutheran and other churches will be represented. While much has been made of the news of the reopening of these churches, we must, however, not be over-much encouraged by the reports. Though it is true that the churches have again been opened, there are only a few left in Russia. The fact is that the ministers of these churches are limited to the service of their own congregations and cannot go beyond certain limits. We still must •pray for this country and its people. C. E. KNIGHT.
