CALTAUX WINS ON K.O.
DANIELS T,KP ON POINTS MELBOURNE. January 1. The New Zealand professional welter-weight boxer, Vic Caltaux (10.7'/ 2 ), knocked out the Victorian, Jackie Daniels (10.7) in the eleventh round of their match here on Saturday night. Daniels was well ahead on points when he was caught with two right .swings, the second of which dropped him across the ropes. He was counted out before he recovered. This bout was Caltaux's third in Australia. The New Zealander lost to both Vic Patrick and Tommy Burns on technical knock-outs. Although Daniels is not in the class of Caltaux's two earlier opponents, he was a warm favourite for tho fight.
