NEAR RECORD RAINFALL
O.C. GREYMOUTH, Friday. A further .18in of rainfall in Greymouth during the 24 hours ended at nine o'clock yesterday morning brought the total for the year to 122.25 in, which, with two days of the year to go, is 3.73 in short of the record of 125.98 m established in 1910.
