FINE WEATHER CONDITIONS
O.C. WHANGAREI, this day. Skies a brilliant blue, calm seas and cooling breezes have prevailed afmost uninterruptedly in Northland since Christmas Eve, so that thousands of hohdaymakers at.the beaches are deriving the best from their, vacation. While not approaching pre-war standards, the volume of traffic on. roads, has been heavy. Only two- accidents, one involving liquor, have occurred on the highways/both in the Far North. Tyre trouble has been very frequent, but traffic inspectors and automobile patrols have been most helpful in SU The m weXr is also ideal for haymakine. Many farmers and their ?uests are devoting the holiday |3 to taking in a harvest which thanks to mid-December rains, is much heavier than expected earlier in the season.
