SMALL CHILD'S DEATH

ACCIDENT AT OTAHUHU A 27-months-old girl died at Otahuhu yesterday morning from an injury in the side caused by ?. piece of broken glass. She was:— Merle Ngairinga Andrews, daughter of Mr. A. H. Andrews, of 12, Pukeiti Road, Otahuhu. The child was walking down some steps at her home on Wednesday, carrying a glass tumbler. She tripped and fell, breaking the tumbler, a piece of wl Ich entered her side. She received medical attention, bu; died about 5 o'clock on Thursday morning. An inquest was held yesu-rday morning before the coroner, T lr. J. V. Lawes, and was adjourneu sine die.
