Mr. E. Bissett, of the head office staff of the Guardian Trust, Auckland, has been appointed manager of the Wellington office. He will take over his new duties at the end of January. Mr. T. Miller, stationmaster at Auckland, has retired after 40 years' service in the Railway Department. He was transferred to Frankton Junction as .stationmaster in 1940 and came to Auckland nine weeks later. Sub-Inspector B. Thompson has been transferred from the Mount Eden police station to take charge of the Queen's Wharf station. SeniorS:rgeant J. Southworth, formerly of the wharf police, is at present relieving at Mount Eden. i
