OBITUARY

MR. ALFRED PICKREL.L The oldest surviving member in Auckland of the King's Empire Veterans' Association, Mr. Alfred Pickrell, of Browns Bav has died at the age of 96. He came to 'New Zealand in 1891. For the past 11 years he had lived at Brown's Bay. Mr. Pickrell regularly attended meetings and parades of the veterans' association. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
