INTER-CLUB TENNIS CRICKET AND ATHLETICS The inter-club tennis season opens tomorrow, the principal match being a championship grade game between Parnell and Heme Bay at the Stanley Street courts. First grade games between Auckland and Devonport and Eden-Epsom and Heme Bay will also be played there. Difficult hurdles have been set all three teams batting second in the Auckland Cricket Association matches at Eden Park. Middlemore has to overtake GraftonY.M.C.A.'s first innings score of 374. Eden-Ponsonby-Balmoral has already lost one for 32 in chasing the Parnell (2) tally of 238, and Combined Air Force, which so far this season has not scored over 190, faces Parnell (1) with 369 for nine wickets. Though Brixton has already headed Railway's total of 92, the other Stiburban games at the Domain should be interesting.
