UNDELIVERED MAIL

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Statistics compiled by the New Zealand Post Office show that last year 215,000 letters and other postal packets were received in the returned letter office as undeliverable. This compared unfavourably with the number dealt with during the two preceding years. Thousands of these undeliverable letters could not be returned to the senders because no return address was shown either on the covers or on letters. The Post Office stresses that every article posted should bear the sender's address on the back of the cover.
