MR. JOHN BUCHANAN

The death has occurred at the age of 76 years of Mr. John Buchanan at his residence, 764, Remuera Road. The late Mr. Buchanan was born in Greenock, Scotland, and came to New Zealand as a young man. With his brother, the late Mr. Walter Buchanan, he was associated in a bakery business in Auckland. Later he commenced business as a baker on his own account, and had two shops, one in Queen Street and the other in Sym'onds Street. He retired from business some 30 years ago. Mr. Buclianan was a staunch member of the Church of Christ in West Street. He was a member of the Ara Masonic Lodge, Irish Constitution, and was a veteran member of the Auckland Automobile Association. He was a member of the Remuera Bowling Club. He is survived by his wife.
