FINANCIAL ISSUES EASIER Uncertainty following the resolution passed at the Labour conference regarding the future of the Bank of New Zealand was evident in tlie quotation of the bank's shares on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. Marked ex-dividend to-day, the shares had buyers at £2 3/, and sellers at 1/ more at the first call, the dividend amounting to slightly more than 7d a share. The cum dividend market was £2 4/6. At the second call, sellers withdrew, but buyers remained in at £2 3/. Insurances continued the weaker trend with sales in New Zealands at £4 7/ and South British at £3 15/6. W. R. Carpenters showed an improvement on last business in July.
