Thoreau—Phillips.—The engagement is announced between Claud Bertram (R.N.Z.A.F.), third son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Thoreau, Pleasant Point, South Canterbury, and Marion Marslie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Phillips, Devonport, Auckland.

Parsons—Elder. —The engagement is announced between Eric William, Royal New Zealand Air Force, only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Parsons, of Devonport, and Anna Roie (Penny), eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Elder, of Texas.
