EXPENDITURE OF £900,000
PATRIOTIC FUND BOARD
Expenditure amounting to £901,412 is shown in the accounts of the New Zealand National Patriotic Fund Board for the year ending September 30, 1944. The sum of £183,425 was expended on the New Zealand Forces' Club in the Middle East, and £112,093 was expended on troops in the Pacific. Troops in New Zealand accounted for £123,653. This figure includes stocks purchased and held for Pacific and other areas and recover- | able items. Troops in the United j Kingdom were provided for to the extent of £76,168, and forces in India accounted for £2265. Receipts from all sources for the year totalled £1,036,273.
