MARKET FAIRLY STEADY

Values were fairly steady in a moderate turnover- on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. The demand for Dominion Breweries was again eager, and after two sales at £2 5/, a rise of 3d on last week's improved price, sellers withdrew. Among Australian shares G. J. Coles were slightly easier, and among Dominion industrials Silknit (N.Z.), at £1 4/6, were 4/ below the July valuation. There was a sharp rise in Bulolo gold scrip, evidently based on reports of extended operations on the New Guinea field, the shares selling at £5 0/6 compared with £4 15/ last May.
