,p A ) BLENHEIM, this day. riarrle Rayner (Blenheim), 8.13. won the New ZeSand professional feather-weight boxing championship from Lex Greaney (Dunedln), 8.9 by a technical knock-out in the fifth round before a packed house on Saturday night. A clever, seasoned challenger took charge from the start. Greaney was outclassed and outfought He was to a bad way after a series of knock-downs from the second round on. Rayner has been fighting as a lightweight for a long time, and must have reduced by about half a stone to make the feather-weight class (8.6 to 9 0). When he defeated V. Gordon in Wellington on September 25 he weighed In at 9.6.
