OBITUARY

MR. J.- G. PATTERSON

(PA.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The death occurred to-day at the age of 80 of Mr. James Gibson Patterson, one of the best-known business men in Dunedin. He arrived in this city in 1883 and was for many years associated with Mr. Thomas Burton in the land, estate and agency and accountancy firm of Burton and Patterson. He was a member and former president of the New Zealand Accountants and Auditors" Association, and was a foundation member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. He was a director of the Otago Daily Times, and was for 40 years an office-bearer m St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church- He is survived by his wife.
