VALUES MOSTLY STEADY A steady tone prevailed on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day., when a moderate turnover was put through. A parcel of Howard Smiths changed hands at £1 5/6, compared with last business here in February at £1 4/9. Banks and insurances were quiet, with a weakening tendency. Caro's Stores, which have been in keen demand lately,, failed to hold the full extent of yesterday's gain and dealing took place at £1 5/ to-day. SALES COMPLETED
