MASTER GROGERS MEET
WAR DIFFICULTIES OVERCOME A gathering of about 190 members and their wives attended the dinner which preceded the 44th annual meeting of the Auckland Master Grocers' Association, held in the Farmers' Trading Company's tearooms last evening. The annual report stated that the membership of the association was approximately 1000. Much of the association's time had been occupied with matters relating to rationing and price control, and it was gratifying to report that many of the difficulties which existed in the past had been overcome. The rationing of butter and sugar might continue for some time after the war, but supplies of other commodities would probably tiecome more plentiful. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. I. R. Wilson; vicepresident, Mr. H. R. Blott; executive, Messrs. E. Armishaw, E. Arthur, Allan, T. A. Bennett, G. H. Bird, S. Burke, D. Cuningham, J. H. Graham, J. A. Hardiman, J. K. Kav, R. S. Naylor, T. E. Price, W. L. Titchener and R. Worthington.
