Attlee, deputy-Prime Minister, in a speech at a Labour party luncheon to delegates of the English and Dominion Labour parties, the conference of which opens to-morrow, said it was a good thing that there were Labour Governments in New Zealand and Australia and Labour parties in Britain and Canada had hopes of reaching the same goal. Mr. Herbert Morrison, Home Secretary, said it was no secret that the Australian and New Zealand Prime Ministers created a deep impression at the Prime Ministers' conference.
