FLYING BOMB SITES
The Netherlands secret paper— VOD— has revealed that the Germans built launching works for their "retribution" weapon No. I in the vicinity of the seaside resort of Noordwijk, twelve miles north of The Hague, and also at a spot eight miles north of Tilburg in Brabant. Others were built in South Limburg. Some of the flying bombs were launched on test flights and several went astx-ay, They dropped in Zeeland at the rate or two daily, but exploded mostly on stretches of water or in open fields. THE ARMCHAIR GENERALS HAVE THE WAR WON There is much foolish talk about the end of the war, whereas we are right in the thick of it. While our boys overseas are fighting for their lives and ours, there should be no relaxing and no encouragement of an over-confident outlook.
