BIG MONEY REFUSED A price running to four figures is reported to liave been refused for Cameronian. He is a four-year-old by U. Scott from Alice Dillon, by Harold Dillon—Bright Alice, by Rothschild from a General Lincoln mare. General Lincoln was got by Lincoln Yet from Lady Standish, by Camel —All Steel, by Dexter. Lincoln Yet, Camel and Dexter supply thoroughbred strains to the pedigree of Cameronian. CONSISTENT MARE Zona Grattan, which is engaged at Wellington, holds claims to be considered one of the most Improved trotters seen out last season. In her last three races she has won twice and run a dead heat for first place. She won at Wellington in 4.42 2-5, at Timaru in 3.53 3-5 over 13 furlongs, and ran a dead-heat at Ashburton in 3.28 4-5. Zona Grattan was got by Grattan Loyal—Little Joan, by Four Chimes—gunice, by Bell Vue.
